He had received radiation therapy to the submandibular gland adenoid cystic carcinoma, and undergone autologous fat injection laryngoplasty vocal cord paralysis. Visual acuity was 20/50 eye. Central Retinal Artery Occlusion Masquerading as Branch Retinal Artery Occlusion
Dear Editor, Retinal artery occlusion (RAO) is characterized by attenuated arterioles and ischemic retinal opacity, which suggest retinal infarction. Branch RAO (BRAO) has a more favorable prognosis than central RAO (CRAO). CRAO and BRAO can be differentiated based on the isch-emic retinal opacity area, location of the attenuated vessels , and a cherry-red spot [1]. However, we encountered a ca...

A utologous fat injection for soft-tissue augmentation has become an effective and reliable method of restoring volume and correcting the atrophy that accompanies senescence or congenital anomalies and has become increasingly popular in recent years. We present a rare case of acute visual loss after autologous fat injection into the temple area. A 22-year-old man presented at our outpatient dep...

Physical examination revealed clear consciousness, stable vital signs, mild redness with ecchymosis over the nasal and glabellar region...
متن کاملRetinal Artery Occlusion
Retinal artery occlusions (RAO) are characterized by the sudden obstruction of the arterial blood flow in the retinal circulation with consequent ischemic damage to the retina. RAO can be subdivided into several forms, including central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) and Branch retinal artery occlusion (BRAO). Patients affected by CRAO experience a sudden, monocular loss of vision. On fundus b...
